| Momo giggled at Kasumi's enthusiasm. "Don't worry, I already own some heels that help me out in that department. They're really cute, too. I should've worn them today, but I knew I was going to be walking a lot in the mall today, so I decided against it," she said. Granted, she always wanted to look cute in what she wore, no matter where she went and what she was doing, but Momo knew her limits regarding heels. Some are only good for walking in for a short period, and the ones she has aren't made for that. Thus, she didn't wear them today. She decided to go comfortable. However, if she knew that she was going out purposely to garner positive attention, then yes, she would've worn a pair of her heels today, as it meant she'd be doing more sitting than walking around for longer than planned.
Momo never thought about seeking out guys in the mall. She usually came here alone or with friends to hang out and have fun. Guys were hardly the last thing on her mind unless one of her friends mentioned the subject. It would usually mean they had someone they were already dating, or were interested in someone they knew and wanted to share it with everyone, and get some advice. It would appear to Momo that Kasumi knew the specific days and times to come to the mall and see handsome guys. She had never thought about that before, but it sounded interesting. She'll try it once to see if that's the case. It sounded like a fun experiment in Momo's mind. She nodded in response to what Kasumi was saying.
"That sounds like fun. I will definitely have to test that out sometime," she said. "I also appreciate you not judging me at all for how I've set the goals in my life. I've been told by a lot of people that it's childish to worry so much about what age to get married. It's not impossible to get married before you are twenty, but these days, it is a little harder, considering that people are so different and want different things. I certainly do want kids, though, but I am in no rush to have any." Momo didn't want to make the mistake of jumping into a relationship quickly and getting pregnant by a guy who says he doesn't want kids when he'd never mentioned before that was how he felt. She's seen that happen a lot, and that makes life hard. One is left feeling so guilty about their actions and believing no one would want them with a child. It's a sad, hard truth, and she may have had her goals, but she was certainly taking her time to achieve them.
This conversation between her and Kasumi made her feel so happy that she couldn't help but pump her fists in excitement, but she made sure to respond respectfully so as not to draw attention to both of them. "Hai, I agree. Finding a guy will happen when it happens," Momo said, giggling again. "Still, I cannot thank you enough for being willing to help me out. I think I'll do social media for a while, but in the event, I do find someone to be with and get married to him, out of respect for my husband, I'll simply stick to regular modeling where I'm seen in only magazines. I'd probably only use socials to post pictures of us together, but that's a bridge to cross when I get there."
Momo doesn't expect her pictures online to start appearing spicy, but she wants to be respectful to her husband and only have parts of her body be seen by him. Not for the world to see on display. But she had to get established with an agency and go from there. In the meantime, she still had her job at the cat cafe, and she was happy to know Kasumi seemed interested since she was looking for a job herself. Kasumi then apologized to her, but she shook her head. "Iie, I'm not upset at all. In fact, it's nice to meet someone who's just as excited as I am. My classmates are rather indifferent but excited in their own way about modeling. I really want to have fun with it. So that makes me happy to know that you'll buy a magazine in the future if I'm ever on the cover of one. That's the motivation and energy I appreciate," Momo admitted.
She was telling the truth. Her close friends were always excited about her pursuing a modeling career. She was taking it seriously but also having fun with it. Her classmates were also pursuing the same career, but not so much. They took every gig they had seriously. They didn't see it as something fun. They saw it as a job. To Momo, that sounded depressing. Momo knew it was a job, but it shouldn't be just that. It can be fun as well. She really liked Kasumi's optimism, but they had varying ideas of what clothes were cute. That wasn't bad, but in her mind, she didn't think many outfits shaped her body well. But if required to wear them for a photoshoot, she'd do it without complaints. Since Momo had never worn rompers before, she had no definitive opinion outside of feeling they wouldn't shape well with her body.
Kasumi, on the other hand, knew and had all sorts of ideas related to them. Momo couldn't help but ponder, giving a small hum. "I suppose. I never gravitated towards them, so I can't say whether or not I agree if one will look good on me or not." However, Momo is a very optimistic person, so she is willing to try something out that she's never tried before. To at least say she tried it, and it didn't work out. When asked about the two dresses again, she carefully held them up by their hangers, as she had them hanging over her forearm moments ago, and put them in front of her where Kasumi could see them. "These two dresses. I was going for sophisticated for one and cute for the other one. These two dresses stuck out to me," Momo said, smiling. "And no need to worry, I'm sticking with what I'm used to wearing for the time being. The adventurous side can always come later." |
