Activity Checks / September Activity Check!
« Last post by Jazcat on September 01, 2025, 06:54:49 pm »

The September activity check has been posted! Everyone, make sure to log your activity for this month when you find the time to do so. Labor Day is the only holiday this month, so everyone is free to write plots based on that. Classes have started back up for all the characters, meaning you all can plot campus-related threads and as well as any side plots you all have going on. There is no major forum-wide sub-plot going on, so everyone is free to plot amongst themselves. Outside of that, write and have fun!

Of course, they aren’t home.  Lillian is referring to her parents.  She stares in the mirror above her 4 draw dresser tying her hair up in a ponytail.  This is one of those nights she feels lonely.  While she is use to it she hates it at the same time.  All she wants is to spend time with her parents.  To matter in their world.  Seems to be less and less the older she gets.  She understood her parents being gone often as a child.  They wanted her to have the best of everything and she did.  However what she really wanted was their love and attention.  Now that she is in college she thought they would slow down but they haven’t.  Most of her peers would probably love to be in her situation but they probably haven’t been without their parents most of their life.  Lillian grabs her headphones off ehr dresser putting them around her neck.  She swiftly walks tot he closet grabbing a jacket as it is cooler at night.  Lillian ensures she has her taser, phone and keys.  Once she is sure she has everything she leaves the house.

I will head to park and back.  Lillian slides on her headphones glancing around.  Thankfully her parents live in a good area.  She would be lying if she said it wasn’t a little scary out at night.  Way too much darkness and shadows for her liking.  Lillian likes to warm up with a nice medium pace walk.  She does this while listening to a podcast.  Once she is out of her neighborhood she switches out the podcast for some music.  Lillian selects her go to jogging playlist.  She begins to lightly jog. Despite listening to her music Lillian is able to think clearly.

I could be writing right now.  What a waste of time. Lillian hums as she gets tunnel vision.  She has been struggling to write recently.  Writing is her passion, her everything.  She isn’t sure if it is stress or something else.  She doesn’t feel stressed at all.  She is mostly doing the jog to get tired so she can sleep good when she returns to the house alone.  Times like this Lillian wishes she had someone she could talk to.  Going to Valeria University is a great place to meet people but she is much too shy for that.  Everyone seems so mature, well spoken and put together.  Lillian feels like she fits in and other times she doesn’t.

Maybe I should try something new.  A new hobby or skill perhaps.  What can I really do?  Lillian mind wonders to what other passions she has.  Pottery could be something great.  It would be a rewarding, challenging, and it takes skills.  Then there was drawing.  Drawing can take hours of practice.  It could also help with her writing skills as she could learn to draw her characters or even their environment.  Lillian smiles.  That would be awesome.  After some time Lillian sees the park come into view.  It looks some much different at night.  She reaches the fountain breathing hard from the work she put in.  I shouldn’t have pushed so hard, good lord.  Lillian leans over to catch her breath.  Once she feels calm she stands upright.

Whoa, it is so pretty here at night thinks Lillian.  She looks around the light up fountain that makes the park appear more relaxing and less scary.  Lillian is surprised when she looks around seeing there are more people than she would have thought out this time of night.  Most of them seem to be around her age.  Lillian can’t help but approach the fountain.  She stares down in the water sighing before looking up.  There is a girl that captures her attention.  She looks so full of sorrow.  Lillian shifts her eyes before the girl could catch her staring.  She folds her arms beginning to slowly walk around the main fountain.  I guess I am not the only one dealing with life.

Kasumi finished her prepping and is now in her pajamas.  Her hair is still up as she is rocking a fitted white v neck tee with the words coffee time.  Her shorts that go with the tee has different kinds of coffees on them.  Kasumi feels confident and beautiful for her interview. Whew, just one more day until show time.  Kasumi researched how to answer questions in an interview.  Nothing was helpful as she had hoped.  Never having an actual job sucks. I don’t see how people do this.  The process of getting a job has her wanting to be an influencer more than ever.

Junko has been gone for a minute.  Where did she go? Junko use to go off a lot before baby Jiro.  This feels different.  Kasumi glances at her phone.  Junko hadn’t sent a text at all.  Kasumi is unsure if she should be concerned or not. I would text her if she wasn’t moody.  Kasumi hears Jiro prompting her to grab her tablet.  She glances at the video sees Jiro has woken.  She is waving her little arms as if trying to signal her mother.  It’s as if she knows she’s alone.  She was sleeping just fine. Kasumi sits the tablet down on her nightstand.  Kasumi heads into Junkko’s room.

“Hey strawberry,” coos Kasumi.  Kasumi gave Jiro the nickname strawberry because of her rosy red cheeks.  Especially when she laughs or smiles.  Kasumi approaches the crib picking Jiro up carefully.  She places Jiro on her shoulder.  Jiro immediately lays her head down.  Is she sleepy?  Kasumi walks over to Junko’s bed laying Jiro down to check her diaper.  “Someone needs a fresh diaper!”  Kasumi grabs everything needed to change Jiro heading to her room.  She could have changed Jiro in Junko room but Kasumi felt off being in her sister’s room.  Is it because we are at odds or something else?  She’s been so weird lately. Weirder than usual.

Kasumi wonders if she should bring this up to Shouta.  Would that be betraying Junko further?  Kasumi has no clue.  She doesn’t understand anything right now.  Junko won’t accept help from her but maybe she would from Shouta. If only she would talk to me.  Kasumi sighs at a loss for what to do.  She gets Jiro changed who appears to be awake now.

“Jiro, you’re going to mess up your schedule,” Kasumi states.  Jiro shoves her fist into her mouth.  “Let’s get your bottle.  That might be just what you need.”  Kasumi wouldn’t dare to eat this late but not her baby niece.  She’s a growing girl.  Jiro coos as Kasumi picks her up heading to the kitchen.

Ganzu Square Mall / Re: Searching for new outfits (Open)

“I’m glad I met you, too Momo,” replies Kasumi.  This was the icing on the cake for Kasumi.  She was anxious about asking Momo for them to exchange numbers.  She wanted to say more but doesn’t want to look desperate.  Momo seems to look up to her.  She doesn’t want to scare her away before they could truly get to know one another.  Kasumi internally becomes emotional because she was beginning to think she wasn’t capable of having friends.  She needs this friendship in more ways than one.  Kasumi digs her phone out of her purse.  The girls exchange phones entering in their info.

“You know what, I will grab the one I like the most for myself.  I hope you don’t mind.  Great minds think alike!”  Kasumi searched the rack locating one of the dresses in her size.  She doesn’t need to try it on.  She already knows how good she’s going to look.  Kasumi has in mind what shoes and accessories she will be wearing with the dress.  She drapes the dress over her arm as Momo did.  “Come on!  Let’s go pay.  We have so much more shopping to do!” Kasumi came to the mall alone.  Now she has a new friend and shopping partner on her level.  This is going to be great!

Ten ... Fifteen ... Twenty ... It'd been twenty minutes since Junko had left the shrine grounds. And it was right then that baby Jiro had begun fussing. She'd been asleep for the past hour and a half, but now she was awake and wanting to be entertained and changed. Yet her mother was nowhere to be found in the dark room she'd been left in. Realizing that she was alone, Jiro had begun crying loudly. She was only five months old, but she was a smart enough baby to use her crib railing to prop herself up on her feet and began banging her hands atop it to get someone's attention.

Meanwhile, Junko had walked in the darkness, far away from her house, until she'd reached Rikugien Park. She'd arrived there twenty minutes ago, and despite it being summer, it was a cool night, compared to during the day, when it was always blazing hot. It felt nice to Junko. It allowed her to think and not feel tired. Normally, Junko would venture to the pier, but tonight, she chose a different location to merely clear her head for a while. She needed a break from home. This late at night, of course, the area wouldn't be heavily populated with people, but as she walked closer to watch the water of the fountain, she saw she wasn't the only one out this late.

Junko thought it best not to engage. She didn't know who they were and didn't want to get involved with a random stranger. So she stood there watching the fountain as her thoughts continued to wander. The area was well lit, so as long as she didn't do or say anything to draw attention to herself, she would be fine. She hadn't planned on staying out too late. If her father didn't ring her phone wondering where she was, then she was sure her sister would call her. More than likely, for nothing that she couldn't handle herself.

Darlibagi Shrine / Re: Sho, Can You Help Me
« Last post by Shouta Akimoto on August 10, 2025, 03:10:00 pm »
It wasn't long after Sho had set his phone down after texting Kasumi that she'd called him. He picked up his phone to answer it. Right away, the strawberry blonde woman had answered, immediately telling him that her talk with Junko didn't go well. He let her finish speaking and didn't say anything until he knew she was done. He gave a small sigh as he set his pencil down on his desk. "I'm not surprised that it didn't go well. You have to remember how long it took you to even talk one on one with your sister," he told her. He knew this wasn't something Kasumi wanted to hear, but she needed to, to understand how Junko feels. She can't expect her to accept anything she says to her after how she's treated her for so many years.

Anyone who had a sibling who mistreated them for years on end would probably cut ties with them. Kasumi should be lucky that it hasn't happened. She was going to have to get Junko space. Whether or not Junko even wants to speak to Kasumi was up to her. No one can force her. "Gomen, that it didn't go well, Kasumi-san," Sho replied, "but you're going to have to give Junko-san space. If you force it, it's not going to end well. Just ... give her time," he told her. He hoped that Kasumi would take his advice. He knew she wanted to make amends with her sister, but that wasn't going to be something that would happen immediately. Right now, he knew that Kasumi was feeling like she had failed, and he knew she needed to talk. "How are you feeling right now?" Sho asked.
