"Nonsense. Just like makeup, if you're able to wear heels without so much as tripping, they could really help boost your height more. Even someone as short as myself can pull off really cute heels," Momo giggled. If she were to compare the two of them, Kasumi was taller than her without heels. Momo was shorter in terms of height, but she never complained, and neither did any of the photographers who took pictures of her. Kasumi seemed to think less of herself, which was strange to the young woman because she was very beautiful. It was hard to believe she had never thought once about trying out modeling. It made sense since it isn't the first thought most women have when they attend university. They usually go for higher-up roles in the work field. Momo found that to be complicated and boring. It wasn't for her. She wanted to like her job, not hate it.

Momo listened as Kasumi spoke more about Instagram and other social media websites. She's heard of the TikTok app, but because Asia's use of the app is more educational than entertainment, Momo wasn't sure how that was going to work. She did know that the American version of the app was for entertainment purposes. That seemed like too much to figure out, so TikTok wasn't an interest to Momo. She also had no idea what Tumblr was. There weren't a lot of websites Momo was aware of, or if she knew they existed, no one would show her how to use them. Instagram was the only one she was familiar with, and though she wanted to use it, the app was difficult for her.

"Hm, Instagram seems more interesting to use. I have no use for the other two. I don't know what one of them are, and the one I am aware of is used for educational purposes in Asia. Unless, of course, you find a way to use another country's version of the app to use it for what you want to do," said Momo with a small laugh. She was fine with settling for using Instagram. She would prefer to use her portfolio, but she also knows that having it won't gain her a lot of traction to land a modeling job that could advance her career if enough people don't know who she is. Japan's modeling industry is different from other countries. If Momo can land something here, maybe she could get picked up as a model by an agency in another country. That would be amazing if that happened. But she had to focus on one thing at a time. Right now, she has someone willing to help her learn how to properly use social media for what she wants to use it for. "Arigatou, Kasumi-chan! You're a big help!"

She listened to Kasumi's suggestions about ways to further use social media to help garner more coverage for her modeling. Momo had thought about doing that, but taking photos could only do so much, and she was always afraid of trying to figure out how to use social media on her own because she feared screwing up. She was lucky to have met Kasumi, who knew how to use such websites. "I can't wait to get started! You're the best!" Momo chimed excitedly. "Between you and me, the mall is usually the best place to scope out guys. Even if you don't approach any, there's no harm in checking out how cute and hot they are," she giggled. They had so much in common that this conversation between them was so much fun. She couldn't help but agree that all the good guys are taken. While her expectations for one were a little high, Momo understood that the type of guy she wanted was going to be a little bit harder to get. Momo was patient, though.

"It's a shame, but there's always hope and still time. I would like to get married before I'm thirty. I still have time since that's such a long way away. So for the time being, I'm in no hurry. If I find a good guy, I'll make sure to hold onto him," Momo said. Momo knew she could be a bit naive when it came to things, but she could tell when there was good in a person. When it came to guys, that was a whole different story. She knew she had to be careful attending university because while there were nice-looking guys, a lot of them were not so great in personality. The ones that were could easily be persuaded by other women. She wondered if Kasumi experienced that. Momo hadn't yet, but there was the off chance it could. It's not something she wanted to experience. She'd hate going through something like that. 'Guess I will have to pray the guy I find is a good guy both inside and out,' she thought to herself. She perked up, hearing Kasumi considering working at the Mani Mani Cat Cafe, where she works. "I hope you do consider it. You'll love it. It's quiet and relaxing, and you're surrounded by cute, fluffy babies. Meow meow." Momo swayed from side to side, thinking about all the adorable cats and kittens at the cafe. They're all up for adoption, and who knows? Maybe Kasumi might take one home. "I'm sure you'll do just fine. One has to start somewhere to gain work experience," she chuckled.

Their conversation eventually returned to the topic of modeling, where Kasumi gave her more suggestions and encouragement. "I am doing the best I can. I do have a lot of photos in my portfolio, so it isn't as if I'm without anything to showcase what I can do," Momo told her. "Even if I can't make it here, there are always other countries looking for fresh new models. I'm keeping my options open." Saying that it was time to focus back on the task at hand, which was the outfits she'd taken off the rack to look at, which she held one in each hand and looked between the two of them, and then at Kasumi. "I agree with you on it not being a necessity to rush trying to appear sexy. I kind of enjoy appearing cute more than anything. It's why I picked out these two outfits, but I can't decide which would look best on me." She then contemplated Kasumi's clothing suggestion. "Hmm, I never thought about wearing either. I don't feel like I could pull off wearing it and it looks right on me. Maybe I'm just being weirdly nitpicky," Momo laughed a bit.

“Well thank you,” says Kasumi with a grin.  She has so much spirit.  “Modeling does look like fun.  I like the print work over the runway.  Besides I’m much too short for that.”  Kasumi finds it interesting that Momo states how having the right makeup and outfit makes it easy for her to be cute.  Definitely.  Kasumi still finds it hard to believe when some women don’t wear make up at all.  Defined brows, mascara and some lip gloss can go a long way.  Kasumi took notice of how Momo is surprised she has 4000 followers on instagram.  She is further stunned when Momo confesses to not really using social media like that.  After Momo explains how the sites are complicated for her Kasumi understands completely.  Kasumi is taken back to how she felt when she was struggling at college.  Every single class was hard.  Didn’t matter how easy the subject was.  It was constantly whooping her brain’s ass.

“Instagram is one of the easiest to me,'' she replies. “The filters on there are incrediable.  I find the hardest social media sites to navigate is TikTok and Tumbler.  Lucky for us Tumbler isn’t as popular.”  Kasumi solely focuses on Instagram.  TikTok is too much for her.  She needs to learn more about editing before trying to use that social media platform.  “I can show you how to use Instagram if you like.  I truly believe you would get so much more coverage on your modeling.” Kasumi rubs her chin.  “Part of me thinks you can show bits and pieces of your life but mostly the modeling.  You could end up getting contracts or something.  People nowadays like being able to relate to people they look up to.  That is how come I recommended showing small pieces of your life.”  Kasumi herself had businesses on Instagram approach her for advertising but they were all companies wanting her to promote for free.  I wouldn’t dare.  Kasumi is not the best teacher but working Instagram is something she can do.

“I’m so glad I’m not alone,” replies Kasumi.  Momo admitted she wants a nice boyfriend who is a good person but can also buy her things she wants.  Kasumi can tell Momo is not the type to want expensive things 24-7.  She has a good balance much like herself. “I swear all the good guys are taken.  That leaves us with guys who have low paying jobs or lacking in looks.  The good looking ones are rather arrogant.”  Kasumi places her hands on her hips.  “I’m not saying all men but most of the guys I have run across have been not so great.”  Even when on campus Kasumi couldn’t find a guy.  Most of them were too busy into their studies or into fooling around and not being a committed relationship.  Kasumi already knows she isn’t giving up the cookie unless she is getting married.  She is not innocent by any means.  Kasumi has dabbled in kissing, a hand job here or there but oral and the act of sex itself is a no for her.  She refused to be the girl in high school or on campus known for spreading their legs.  Valeria University is a top tier college.  She wanted to be taken serious like her sister Junko.  Kasumi wasn’t going to risk any gossip being released about herself.

“Really,” says Kasumi with her eyes watering a possible job offer..  “I mean I will consider it.  I have been thinking about getting a part time job after all.” Kasumi blinks back tears of happiness.  Momo is beyond kind.  She just met her and yet she is offering for her to apply at the kitten cafe.  It’s like this girl was placed in her life for more than one purpose.  Thank you ancestors.  “I know kittens and cats must warm up to their caregivers.  It’s understandable they wouldn’t be use to me if I was to work there.”  Kasumi doesn’t want to assume.  She realizes she can’t stop smiling.  Kasumi didn’t think for a second she would enjoy their conversation this much.  Kasumi listens nodding her head as Momo discusses her portfolio.

“I do know modeling portfolio is a must in your career field,” states Kasumi. “Showcasing your skills to take a variety of photos is important.” She grins wildly at Momo.  “This is why I have faith in you girlie.  You totally got this in the bag!” Kasumi is thrilled when Momo accepts her offer to show her how to use the social media platform.  She feels irate on the inside hearing how Momo’s classmates didn’t want to help her when she asked for help.  I shouldn’t be surprised.  People can be so cruel.  Kasumi nods her yes wanting to help Momo even more after hearing that.  Momo excitedly tells Kasumi how they should proceed.  She’s such a good planner.  She thought of all of this on the spot.  Kasumi needs 24 hours or longer to think of plan when it comes to most things.  Organization doesn’t come easy to her but she is getting better about it.

“There is no need to rush to be sexy,” replies Kasumi.  “I think playing up your futures as you are is best.  Wholesome modeling goes much further.  As you age then you can shift to the grown and um sexy.”  Kasumi looks around not wanting to use such language openly. “Now we are going for cute but comfy.  Totally my area.  How do you feel about rompers or jumpsuits?”

The air of silence washed over the entire room as Sho and Yuuto sat there eating. The request from Yuuto to call him by his first name would come up, but each time, it would end up exactly like right now - awkward. Sho felt terrible for not giving in to Yuuto's request. He wanted to, but part of him couldn't do it. He knows Yuuto is trying and doing what he can to make amends. Sho is willing to acknowledge that. However, there was a reason he was keeping the wall up between them. The internal struggle he had with that reason was something he was trying to figure out on his own. It always weighed heavily on him because he kept it to himself. The silence between them was palpable as they sat there, continuing to eat. Sho was lost in his thoughts, and Yuuto seemed lost in his world.

Then suddenly, Yuuto finished eating first and got up from the table, turning to Sho, who blinked in surprise when told that he'd be right back. He didn't say anything. He only nodded and finished the rest of his meal. At first, Sho thought that maybe the other had gone to the restroom, but then pondered on that a bit longer and believed Yuuto was upset at him for not responding to his request. He couldn't help but sigh, running his fingers through his hair. This made him feel more terrible than he already did. He knew Yuuto wanted things between them to return to how they were when they were students, but Sho wasn't there yet. He didn't know when he would be emotionally. Everything was just happening so fast that his mind couldn't keep up with it all.

To take his mind off his thoughts while Yuuto was away, Sho got up from the table, brought his empty glass with him, and walked toward the counter where Yuuto had left the wine bottle. It was rare that he ever felt the need the drink more than what he was in the mood for, but in this case, the green-eyed young man did not want to be left alone with his own thoughts. Grabbing the bottle, he filled up his empty glass and, without hesitation, downed it instantly. He'd done this twice before coming to the realization that he'd had way too much, and he was finally starting to feel the alcohol affect him a little bit. He didn't even realize Yuuto had returned and just gave him a blank and empty stare. His face was flushed from the alcohol in his system, and he felt embarrassed about that. Now, he was causing more problems than either of them needed.

"Shit..." was the response he gave, placing his hand against his head as it lightly began to pound. It wasn't as bad as the stuff Sadie usually had that had him with a massive headache, but that still didn't mean he felt better. "Gomen," he apologized, carefully placing the glass on the counter, then slowly began walking, attempting to leave. "I s-should go," he mumbled as he tried to walk past Yuuto, only to almost trip over, but luckily, he managed to grip his hand on the wall of the entryway of the kitchen to avoid a catastrophe.

Yuuto glares at Shouta intensely.  He is awaiting a response.  Yuuto thought Shouta was going to say he accepted his apology for assuming he was going to the convention to work followed by calling him Yuuto.  Instead what he got was a mumbled lack luster response.  Yuuto feels his heart drop with sorrow creeping in.  It is clear Shouta still doesn’t want to call him by his first name.  Yuuto drinks more wine before looking down at his plate.  Maybe I shouldn’t have said anything. Yuuto is aware he can’t force their friendship to go back to the way it was.  It will never be the same as they are no longer teens.  They are full grown adults with different experiences that have shaped them into the people they have become.  Even with Shouta not being completely open to Yuuto he likes Sho still.  He will always see him as someone who is to be close him.  Someone he will look out for.  Yuuto finishes his meal in silence.  He is satisfied but can’t help himself fixing another glass of wine.  Yuuto doesn’t realize how he is trying sooth the budding emotions inside of him.  He stands up from the table after drinking his glass half way down.

“Excuse me, I will be right back,” he informs Shouta.  “Please help yourself to anything you want while I’m gone.  I won’t be long.” Yuuto wants to give Shouta an encouraging smile but he knows in this moment it would be forced.  All he can think of is how Shouta is not comfortable with him enough to use his first name.

Yuuto heads to his room with Sarada trotting behind him.  He is surprised she didn’t stay behind trying to get the attention of Shouta.  She has taken a liking to him.  That makes Yuuto feel good as Sarada doesn’t trust easily like himself.  It shows she finds him worthy of being in their space.  Yuuto walks to his nightstand grabbing his laptop.  He sits down on his bed opening up the laptop.  Yuuto swiftly goes to the convention website to book the hotel for that weekend.  The hotel is pricey but he expected as much since they are staying at the hotel the convention is taking place.  I swear the more simple things are the more they try to butt **** you on the price.  The rooms were going fast.  Yuuto managed to get one.  Had he not had his card info saved on his computer he doesn’t think he would be so lucky.

Yuuto sighs closing his laptop.  He wants that sad feeling to go away.  It shouldn’t be such a big deal but to him it is.  Yuuto can hear all the thoughts fighting back and forth in his mind.  Self loathing thoughts versus positive thoughts.  Shouta doesn’t want you to be his friend while the positive thought is Shouta is going to spend a whole weekend with you.  Yuuto hasn’t felt this in years.  Why does Shouta always have to bring these old ass emotions out of me.  He stands up feeling his buzz which is much welcomed considering how sad he was moments ago.  Sarada meows causing Yuuto to look her way.  She is on up on his bed walking over to him.  Animals can be in tune with their owners.  Sarada must sense he is off.  She rubs against him causing Yuuto to rub her head making her purr.  “I’m fine.  I’m going back to the main room, come on.”  Yuuto drops his hand with Sarada hopping off the bed following him to the front of the apartment.

“Sorry, to leave you alone for a while”, states Yuuto.  “I have booked the hotel for our weekend at the convention.  Nice hotel of course.  We have options to order room service for breakfast and dinner if we like.  Although I think going out to explore the area would be more fun.”  Yuuto doesn’t mention lunch knowing they will more than likely grab something while they are out.  “Are you done eating Sho?”  Yuuto is inquiring so he can put up the dirty dishes into the dishwasher.

"You should definitely give it a shot! It's really fun!" Momo told her. "But it is a lot of hard work and patience. Many drop out of wanting to do it because of that reason, but I am definitely determined to keep at it. Besides, it's not difficult for me to look cute anyway, as long as I have the right make up and outfit, I'll be just fine," she giggled. Of course, Momo would stress out when she couldn't figure out what to put on just to go outside to do even the basic necessities for herself. She was still learning not to stress herself out every time. It's not a good look. She did become intrigued by knowing that Kasumi had an Instagram with over 4000 followers. "Oh?" Momo tilted her head to the side. Social media wasn't foreign to the young woman. She just didn't know how to use it, and setting it up was her issue. Thus, the reason for never actively gravitates toward it.

"I'm not good with social media so I don't have any accounts for pictures and stuff like that. I'm super terrible at trying to figure stuff like that out. I can use a computer for basic things, but asking me to use social media is like trying to teach a cat to play basketball," Momo laughed, sheepishly rubbing the back of her head. "I'd probably be a lot more well known if I had an Instagram." Momo knew about the website, but these days, some websites have made their functionality so overly complicated that it would make a person not want to bother with it. Momo wouldn't be against the idea of using social media to put herself out there more. She'd just need some help doing that. None of her peers in her class were willing to help her, treating her as if she were stupid because she didn't know how to use social media to her advantage, which bummed her out a lot. That's why she didn't complain much whenever there was an on-set photoshoot scheduled for them.

Momo would work hard to ensure the photos from those shoots came out top-tier. As she said, it was hard work, and the lifestyle of a model isn't for everyone. Just because someone has the looks to be a model doesn't mean they'll be able to handle the life that comes with it. Even still, she wasn't passing up the opportunity to make a new friend. Kasumi wasn't just pretty. She seemed very nice! She could even relate to her when it came to having a look for every occasion. "Mhm, mhm! I agree! I want a super handsome guy as my husband who will be able to buy me nice things. But he'll also need to be a good guy as well. It's hard to enjoy nice things being given to you, and the person you're with is a negative one."

Momo wasn't giving up on her dream goal of landing a hot, rich man to marry. So she always had to be picture-perfect. She never knew when that might happen. A guy could come around the corner at any moment, and if she didn't look presentable, that meant she struck out, and that would be on her. With that in mind, she was always on the lookout for nice new clothes to wear and makeup to try on. "Kitties are definitely cute! My future husband has to love cute, fluffy animals, too. I want a pet of my own, but I have no time for one right now. So working at the cat cafe gives me the experience of learning how to take care of a pet when that day comes. It's a lot of work but very rewarding. If you're interested, they're always looking to hire at my job. It may take a while for the kitties to get used to you because you're new, but when they do, that's the best part of the job." Momo giggled. Earning the trust of cats is hard work, but in return, they'll love and trust you unconditionally once they can trust you. It's such a nice feeling.

"I appreciate the faith you have in me. I have so many pictures on my phone and computer. I'm building a portfolio with all those pictures, but I do need to put myself out there more. Sure, a portfolio is great, but even I'm aware that social media is more popular than just standard pictures." Momo hummed, tapping her chin as an idea struck her mind in that instant. "Since you're free to hang out, would you mind helping me with the whole social media thing? I could certainly use it. My classmates aren't too kind to me about it. I wanna learn it but they pretty much tell me to learn it on my own." Momo would greatly appreciate Kasumi's help, as she seemed popular on Instagram and knew how to use the website more effectively than Momo ever could.

"Obviously I still have to pick out some new outfits, so lets do that first and go from there," she suggested. "Since it's summer, I'm trying to go for something cool yet comfortable. It also has to be cute too. I'm not sure about sexy. I'm not sure if I'm there yet to pull off sexy," she stated. Momo has wanted to try appearing more sexy, but as it's her weakest area, she's settled for just looking cute and making it work for her. The rest will fall into place.

Although Yuuto had said what he did softly, Sho was able to hear what he said. He was telling him that he could address him by his first name since they weren't strangers. It was fairly obvious Yuuto didn't like being addressed by his surname, and that was to do with his disdain for his stepparents' interfering in his life since the day he was placed in their care. While it is customary for people to address others by their surname out of respect for the person, there were times it was fine to call them by their first name if that's what they wanted. The problem with that is that Sho never called Yuuto by his full first name, only a shortened rendition of it, because they were close friends back in junior high.

The other never complained that he had an issue with being addressed as 'Yuu-chan', so that's what he'd always called him. Sho was an adult now, not a teenager. It seemed childish and inappropriate to call Yuuto that. Even addressing him by his first name seemed difficult but for different reasons. 'I know we're not strangers, but I don't feel comfortable calling you by your name. Don't ... ask me to do that,' Sho thought with a small frown. He chose not to respond to Yuuto's request. He instead responded to what he'd said after. "Hrn," was his response as he ate more food from his plate.

There was that awkward silence again. It wasn't intentional, but usually, specific topics and requests caused Sho to shut Yuuto out. It wasn't hard for Sho himself to realize he was having an internal struggle. He didn't want to mentally and emotionally drain himself regarding his past and present with Yuuto, so he would always focus his mind on other things, just like he was doing right now. He was going to focus on having fun at the convention. He wasn't opposed to going with Yuuto since he'd invited him to tag along for the weekend of the event. So that's what he was going to do. Have fun.

Yuuto relaxes as he watches Shouta begin to eat.  This makes him glad.  At least Shouta was relaxed enough to enjoy the meal he prepared.  At least Sho wasn’t around during the growing pains when he was learning to cook.  He has some failed attempts so bad he had to toss out the meal.  Feodora helped providing him a few tips.  Otherwise YouTube was his teacher.  Yuuto begins to eat some of his own food while sipping his wine.  Although things are silent for a minute he doesn’t mind.  He wonders will it always be this way between them.  He remembers when they were younger Shouta being the one to speak constantly.  He was always so excited like a new puppy exploring the world for the first time.  Yuuto grins hoping they will get back there at some point.  A point where Shouta is open to him.  He is taken from his thoughts as Shouta says he understands.  He still gets me. Before Yuuto can even celebrate on inside Shouta follows up with how Yuuto assumed he was talking about work.

Was he not talking about work?  Shouta explains how he is wanting to form new connections, make associates.  Yuuto mind is buzzing with thoughts.  Shouta has always been friendly and open.  The main reason he didn’t have friends back when they were young was no one understood his interests.  As an adult Shouta seems to struggle to connect to others. Why is that?  He’s such a good person.  All he has to do is let them see that.  Yuuto take a deep breath grabbing his wine.  He takes a sip being reminded he is the reason Sho had little trust in people.  Surely Shouta has improved since that day but Yuuto knows learning to trust others is hard.  Had he not known Shouta before this he wouldn’t be this open.

“You can call me Yuuto,” he replies quietly.  “I’m not some stranger.  I apologize as I did assume you were referring to work.  It’s the main thing I know about you right now.  You focus on work and school.  This is the first time I heard you mention wanting to make new connections.”  Yuuto feels a sting of jealousy.  There is nothing for him to be jealous of.  Shouta can have friends.  Meeting new people is good for him, healthy even.  Yuuto shakes off the feeling refocusing his mind. “Thank you for opening your mind up to the fun we are going to have at the convention.” Yuuto begins to eat and drink more of his wine.  He found himself suddenly nervous.  He can’t get the thought of Shouta forming new connections with others out of his mind.  He oddly finds himself wanting to keep Shouta to himself.  This is not healthy.  I’m attaching myself to him.  I need to stop this but how?  Yuuto decides he will deal with those thoughts following the convention.  He doesn’t have time to disrupt their budding friendship.  It feels like they are getting somewhere.  Slowly but it is still progression.

Sho hadn't thought about focusing much on working while attending the convention. The only thing he would do is try and find some downtime to write if he could, but if he couldn't, he wouldn't worry about it and just focus on having some fun since it'd been a while since he'd had any. It didn't cross his mind to go out of his way to promote his story, which was currently in production. Rather, he wanted to make new connections in the form of meeting new people. Sho always felt like he was hanging out with the same group of people, and he wanted to actually try putting himself out there to befriend new people who don't have annoying and weird habits. His classmate and friend, Haruka, who was also a creative writing major, was the only one who didn't have any weird and annoying habits. Outside of his strange interest in writing murder mystery stories and taking great pride in annoying the hell out of their professor with them, he was a fairly normal person.

But since he'd been busy as of late, Sho hadn't been able to really hang out with anyone. So he understood Yuuto's concern regarding his focus on work instead of having fun. The intention of going was to have fun, and if he had downtime to spare, he'd try to write a little bit. Of course, he didn't want to say that out loud since Yuuto was worried enough about him not taking any time off. Sho could admit to not doing that. He wasn't fooling around with his studies. He really wanted to graduate and fully focus on his writing career. But even he needed to unwind sometimes. As he sat there, he finally decided to eat the food Yuuto had cooked for them. He'd only ever eaten takeout whenever the two were together, so this would be the first time he'd eaten anything he made. It was very delicious. He had no complaints. He took the time to swallow his food before speaking again. "I understand, Usui-san," he said to him.

"However, I think you're assuming I was talking about work when I said I wanted to form new connections." Sho took the glass of wine in his hand and finished what remained in the glass before setting it back down on the table. "I want to meet new people. I'll probably be so focused on enjoying the convention that I won't have any free time to write anything. But it isn't a main focus so it's not something I'll be worried about needing to do. As you said, we just need to focus on having fun." Sho scratched the side of his face lightly. While he should be used to being around Yuuto, he still can't help but feel awkward at times around him. Having discussions regarding the two of them having fun was still not something he was used to hearing initiated by Yuuto.

Strangely, it reminded him that this was something he wanted back then, when the two of them were still close friends, for Yuuto to be more engaging and energetic. Now that he was, Sho didn't know how to respond, much less deal with it, and he just always felt awkward. 'It doesn't help that he says things that could easily mean something else,' Sho thought, his cheeks flushing again. Referring to Yuuto inviting him over for dinner and how it felt intimate while knowing this was just casual between them. Besides, Sho isn't unfamiliar with obvious implications ... except for when it comes to Yuuto. He couldn't tell if what he was doing or saying was him trying to work on preparing their friendship or something else that he really didn't want his brain to think about right now. Saying nothing, he just ate some more food while waiting for Yuuto to respond. If he'd allowed his mind to wander any further, he'd be reminded more of things he didn't want to think about.

Yuuto has to turn away for a moment.  He’s so cute when he blushes.  Yuuto mind goes to more than one place whenever he sees Shouta’s flushing cheeks.  Yuuto groans inwardly touching his own cheeks trying to get himself to calm down.  His heart begins to work harder as Yuuto is beginning to realize something is changing between him and Shouta. If I don’t admit it, I can ignore it. Yuuto cheeks are now tinted as he continues to deny his budding emotions towards Shouta.  Yuuto is brought back to the conversation at hand as Shouta expresses he is surprised that Yuuto is going out to have fun.  He can’t help but smile at his friend as he takes a sip of wine.

“You are correct,” admits Yuuto.  “I am a workaholic.  It helps to keep my mind busy.” Since running into Shouta it has changed Yuuto’s brain chemistry in a sense.  Yuuto finds himself thinking a lot.  Some of it good and some of it uncomfortable.  Such as memories of his biology dad.  Working helps take his mind off such thoughts.  Plus working makes him feel closer to Shouta.  Since Shouta has a contract with his job they are connected.  Knowing Sho dreamed of creating his own comic since they were teens and he is living it is incredible.  Yuuto knows Shouta would have been successful without him but he is glad to have things move forward at a quicker rate.  Shouta is getting more exposure and gaining more of a fanbase through this contract.  Even if it is not renewed it is certainly worth it at the end of the day. “It is time I took some time off.”  Yuuto chuckles.

“You sound so much like me like me when I began working,” he says leaning back into his chair.  “Although you are going to have fun you are also aiming to network.  Networking is a form of working.  I won’t stop you from expanding your reach but I think you should let loose Sho.  You are doing more than anyone we have a contract with.  If I can let go during this trip so can you.”  Yuuto knows Shouta can handle a lot.  Granted they weren’t friends for years but he can see Shouta handles stress and a heavy schedule very well.  Even more reason why he is pushing for the other to relax.  “I don’t want you to burn out okay….please try to chill.”

Yuuto closes his eyes for a moment trying to calm himself.  It is a fact he doesn’t go this hard for any personnel they have a contract with.  However those individuals take time off.  They know how to pace themselves.  Shouta is hungry, eager to succeed.  Yuuto has a feeling he may have to force Shouta to take a break and he is hoping it doesn’t come that.  His friend is an adult and should make this decision on his own when to relax.

Kasumi blushes in return.  This girl is so nice.  Where was such a tender soul when she was in high school.  Kasumi can’t believe how nice she is.  The fact this girl can look so put together with very little makeup is impressive.  Kasumi must have some kind of makeup on at all times.  Don’t let it be a long night because concealer is a must the following morning.

“Now you have me wishing I did look into modeling” Kasumi states. “I truly never thought about.  I do keep up with my Instagram account.  I have 4,000 followers.”  Kasumi is really proud of that.  She has a schedule whe she makes her posts.  Wednesday, Friday and Sunday are the days she posts.  Kasumi realized that is when she posted on those days is when she would get the most interaction.  Despite having a decent following Kasumi didn’t want to be an influencer.  How could she?  She is a college dropout and lives with her parents.  Most influencers live on their own and can show the best of everything in their world.  Kasumi feels like she has nothing to show off.  She may give the influencer lifestyle a try if she moves out on her own.  Until then she plans to lay low.  Kasumi can’t help but beam as possible new friend says she would blow the camera away.  She quickly excited by the fact this purple hair beauty admitted to ensuring she looks presentable.

“You totally get me!” exclaims Kasumi.  She is excited to know this little lady does put thought into how she leaves the house.  “I personally have a look for every occasion.  Today is clearly running errands, shopping.  You never know who you will see.  I could be running into my future husband.”  Kasumi giggles because she is embarrassed to say that but not at the same time.  She really wants a boyfriend.  She has never had one before.  Kasumi admires Momo even more hearing how she works at a kitten cafe while working on building up her modeling career.  This girl could clearly settle on being pretty but she isn’t.  She has goals of being successful in her chosen career.

“Kitties are so cute!”  exclaims Kasumi.  “That sounds like a nice job.”  Working at the shrine has a lot of walking.  Besides Kasumi giving thanks to the ancestors and maintaining the shrine she would like to try doing something else.  Momo working at a kitten cafe and is a part time model.  Her life sounds so put together compared to Kasumi.  Kasumi runs her right hand through her hair nervously.  “I do believe certain people are destined to be a model.”  She smiles shyly.  “You have such great work ethic.” Kasumi feels a little jealous.  She doesn’t understand how people like Junko or Shouta can so easily go after what they want in life.  This girl is no different.  Kasumi feels so left behind.  At the same time she has no idea what she wants to do.  “I know you are going to begin landing work very soon.  All it takes is for that one photo to go viral and they will begin beating down your door with offers!”  Kasumi truly believes this.  If this girl is pretty in person with little effort what will she look like after photo shop.  It really isn’t needed but Kasumi knows the professionals always touches up photos to get the final outcome they are seeking.

Momo inquires if she is doing anything after this.  Kasumi had no plans.  She was going to head back home to wash her new clothing items.  Once the clothes were clean and fresh she was going to put some of the new items together with her current wardrobe to create new outfits.  Kasumi also needed to figure out where she wanted to take her pictures and selfies.  She always has pictures in her phone ready for an upload at any time.

“Thank you” says Kasumi blushing at the compliment.  She can admit she really does like her name.  Some people don’t like their birth name but Kasumi is not one of them.  She feels her name fits her very well.  She is glad to know someone else feels the same.  Momo, her name is Momo.  Even this girl name is adorable.  Kasumi reaches her hand out shaking Momo’s for a proper introduction.  She is so classy.  “I didn’t have anything planned” Kasumi confirms.  “I can hang out.  What did you want to do?  I have some more shopping to do and I will probably need a light snack in an hour or two.”  Kasumi can’t believe there is someone who wants to hang out with her.  This isn’t someone she went to school with or even a friend of her little sister Junko.  It’s someone Kasumi met on her own.  Kasumi has done a lot of self reflecting and improving the past few months.  She smiles to herself as she can see how far she has come.  Kasumi knows she a few more things to figure out but things are looking up.  “Did you want to finish shopping in here first?  What kind of piece are you searching for?  Maybe I can help?”  Kasumi had to remind herself it is not all about her.  This is what friends do.  They look out for each other.  They care about the others interests. Shouta would be so proud if he could see me now.
