"Cool, well then, I'll see you later, Darlibagi-san," Chibiusa said, waving at Junko before taking her leave. As she walked away, her thoughts began to wander. Mainly on how this interaction went between her and Junko. Although she couldn't shake the feeling that the brunette-haired girl was hiding whatever relationship she and Professor Nakatomi had, she knew she wasn't going to get that information out of her from just one interaction. Anyone in a situation that's struggling to decide if dealing with someone who's already in a relationship is worth it, wouldn't fully divulge everything to a complete stranger. Sometimes that happens and sometimes not.

In any case, if there is anything going on, Chibiusa would do what she could to give Junko advice that would hopefully get her out of that situation. Whether or not Professor Nakatomi was involved or if it was truly someone else didn't matter. Junko was clearly struggling emotionally in how to deal with it. The judgment is there, but if she could eventually move on to be in a better situation with someone else, that would make Chibiusa feel a little better. At least in regards to Junko. As for Professor Nakatomi, if he's involved, there was no way she was going to allow him to get away with messing with female students. Especially since he was fucking married. 'I need proof first before I do anything,' Chibiusa thought as she left the library and began to head to her next class for the day.

Activity Checks / July Activity Check!
« Last post by SmiTTy on June 27, 2025, 06:51:02 pm »

Here is the activity check for July. It's up early for everyone to log their activity for the month. Activity is slow, and that's because everyone is busy, life happens and we understand that. We're still welcoming new faces to all who are interested in joining us. We're still around even if activity is down. As for holidays, the 4th of July is the only holiday for next month that's of most importance. This holiday isn't celebrated in Japan outside of military bases and organizations that do have events held for it, and it is usually for Americans who are a part of both. If anyone has characters that fall into that category, then go nuts with threads. In the meantime, summer ends in August, and the university is still open for students attending classes during the summer to finish their majors early so they can graduate sooner. The plots are endless.

Finish & Unfinished Threads / Re: Small Talk (Chibiusa) - Recap

Junko nodded, her smile remaining. Inside, she was excited that someone was willing to hang out with her and wasn't treating her terribly for simply existing. Sho didn't treat her that way either, but she knew that his schedule was different from her own and that he didn't have a lot of time on his hands to hang out. When he did have time, he was often seen hanging with everyone, or sometimes Sadie with her younger brother Howard attached, who Junko didn't like very much. Then again, nobody liked Howard. While he wasn't doing or saying much of anything to her that she hadn't heard already, there were times he'd say things whenever she was around that would sound as if he knew her as a person, and Junko hated that. It didn't sit well with her. He was already judging and insulting to anyone he came in contact with, and that was grating enough to hear. She didn't want to hear him say things about her that reminded her of how much she already disliked who she was.

For once, Junko wanted to like herself. Wanted someone outside of Koichi to like her, and it didn't feel forced. She was going to experience that. If it all goes well, she'll try and do better at reaching out to Sho and see when he's not too busy and hang out with him. Their interests, in a way, are similar. While her major may be related to art, she wanted to go somewhere with it, just as he wanted to with his writing. Maybe one day working together with him. Junko did enjoy reading manga and watching anime. If the story Sho was writing became popular, she wondered if he would allow her to make figurines of the characters. It's an idea she hadn't considered before, but since the thought had crossed her mind just now, she'd pitch it to him when she saw him next time. In the meantime, she was going to hang out with Chibiusa and go to a karaoke bar. Should be fun.

"Of course, I'll let you know if I'm still in class or not and meet you later. I only have two classes left to go to, so it shouldn't be long. Another hour and a half and I'll be done for the day," Junko told the blonde. As long as she didn't bump into Koichi at any given point for the rest of her time on campus for today, she should be able to easily meet up with Chibiusa with no issues. It's not as if she had any assignments to work on for his class, as she'd already finished them. Outside of exams, there wasn't much regarding her Japanese History class that she needed to do that she hadn't already prepared for. Plus, she could use a distraction from studying, so she too began to put away her things neatly and place them in her bag.

"Ah, the Frost Karaoke Bar. It's a popular one that a bunch of high schoolers and university students venture to. I've been there with Momo-chan and Kyuu-kun. We haven't been in a while since we've been busy with classes. Plus, you could use some time away from everything to clear your head for a little bit. It's in the next town over, so we'll be fine," Chibiusa assured her. They had nothing to worry about since where the karaoke bar was located, it was in a relatively safe area. So, there wasn't a need to be afraid of getting attacked or anything. However, she had to keep in mind that she was getting Junko out of her comfort zone, so it made sense for her to ask about the area of town they would be in. After all, not every side of town was a good side of town. Even foreigners that used to Japan often got lost compared to Japanese natives who just got off on the wrong stop due to either not paying attention or the mode of transportation they were taking at that time was crowded and prevented them from getting off at their designated stop when they needed to. That always happens.

But since she was a familiar at the Frost Karaoke Bar, Chibiusa knew they would be treated well. And they made sure that there were no suspicious people hanging around the building either. That said, she gave the brunette a quick thumbs up before she checked her phone to see what time it was. "Ah, I have to head off to my next class soon. I apologize for interrupting your study time, but it was quite interesting to finally talk to you and get to know you a little bit," she said to her with a smile as she began to gather her things and then stand up from the table. "When I'm done with my classes for the day, I'll text you where to meet me at and we'll leave from there to head to the karaoke bar, okay?" She didn't know what Junko's schedule was like either, but even if the other girl was still in classes, she'd text her where to meet her on campus. She wasn't crazy enough to tell her to meet her at the karaoke bar. She knew a few of her classmates who would do that to people and think it's funny to have someone get lost in an unfamiliar area. Chibiusa wouldn't do that to her. She stood there and waited for Junko to respond.

Junko smiled, nodding her head. "Hai, I'm okay with going to a karaoke bar later. I've ... never been to one before, so it sounds like it'll be fun," she replied. She was still awkward, but since going to the karaoke bar was decided on between the two of them, she could relax a little more without there being expectations of her like she felt there would be going to a host club. Besides, she wasn't used to being showered with attention by guys and wouldn't know how to respond to it right off-hand. She feared messing up, saying the wrong things, and embarrassing herself in front of them. After all, her focus had always been on her studies and never truly having any actual fun. Junko wanted to have fun like everyone else around her, including her friends.

A part of her was still confused about what to do regarding Professor Koichi, but the brunette thought that maybe having different experiences with others might help her figure that out. She knew the man would be surprised to hear she went to a host club with someone. It wouldn't mean anything to her, but she could say she tried it and figure out whether or not she liked it. After all, they were just attractive men who got paid to make women feel noticed. Junko didn't really believe that any of them actually were that way outside of their job. The same could be said for hostess clubs, too. Beautiful women who got paid to make men feel noticed and wanted. So, Junko thought that would be an interesting experience come the weekend. Just to see how it goes. If she got anything out of it, maybe it might help her put an end to her taboo relationship with her professor. Besides, there was always the risk of them getting caught. She was already terrible for having feelings for someone else's husband. She didn't want to keep feeling that way. 'I can't expect other guys to look at me the same way Koichi Sensei does. Not even ... Sho-kun looked at me as if I were attractive. I don't ... doubt that he was genuine in helping me and being nice to me, but I would like for some guy to like me without me having to change who I am just for them,' Junko thought.

She felt bad for putting herself in that situation where Sho had seen her in an indecent manner, but she couldn't help but wonder what would've happened if she'd pushed a little more for him to sleep with her. Would she have developed feelings for him instead? She didn't know. That opportunity was lost to her, so maybe ... just maybe she'll have a chance to discover that with someone else? She'd like that. But that meant she'd have to ask her sister about things she hadn't ever wanted to talk to her about. However, Kasumi was more social than she was, so she had no choice. In the meantime, she'll focus on today and this venture to a karaoke bar. "By the way, what karaoke bar are we going to? There's a lot of them in different areas so, it's easier to know what the name of the place is and what area it's in," Junko asked. She didn't believe anything bad would happen to either of them, but since Junko didn't venture out alone much, even to hang out with the friends she had, she knew she had to get familiar with her surroundings, especially when it was nighttime. Her father had instilled that in both her and her sister. She'd of course have her phone with her in case anything happened, and this wasn't a grand trip out so things should be fine ... right?

Chibiusa was a little worried that Junko wouldn't agree to hang out with her, but she suggested it because the brunette appeared to really need it. To clear her head and get away from what she was dealing with and do something fun to distract herself from it. A karaoke bar and a host club were the only things that she could suggest. Although the blonde had other hobbies, she had a feeling Junko's mind would venture back to the "guy friend" she was in a forbidden relationship with. To her surprise though, Junko inquired about doing both suggestions but on different days. Despite her surprise, she gave her a genuine smile and nodded. "We could totally do that. That's no problem at all. Did you want to go to the karaoke bar later? That's a pretty lax activity that we could have some fun with. It'd make sense to do that since it's still in the middle of the week. We can do the host club on the weekend. I'll see if Momo-chan wants to join us for that one."

This interaction worked out better than Chibiusa could've expected. While she still wanted to expose Professor Nakatomi for engaging in relationships with his students and leading them on with promises of something long term, she somehow gained a new friend in hopes that whatever and whomever she was involved with, she could help her get out of it. Even if just being there as a friend, someone she can reach out to, could help with that, Chibiusa was willing to do it. She'd rather not see someone that is already struggling with social interaction fall into a deep emotional and mental hole. Nobody deserves that. Sure, there were people around her that she found to be complete idiots, but this situation doesn't seem to be that. In her mind, she saw it as someone preying on another person's emotions and loneliness for their own selfish desires.

She may not be able to fully help her get over her feelings for her "guy friend", but she could distract her to where she manages to get herself out of the situation on her own. At least, that's what Chibiusa hoped for. 'Who knows, maybe she'll eventually meet a new guy that'll genuinely like her and not mislead and use her,' Chibiusa thought.
